VISA :

The tourist visa for foreigner is issued by Nepalese Embassy or Consulate in your country or your arrival in the Tribhuvan Internation Airport in Kathmandu

Please bring one passport-size photo. For more information about Nepal visa click here.

Visa fees are US $ 25 for 15 days, US $ 40 for 30 days and US $ 100 for 100 days with multi-entry.

PASSPORT :

All tourists except Indian citizens entering Nepal must have a valid passport upto 6 month after your return date.

PHOTOS :

Minimum 3 copies  recent passport size photos are required for visa preparation and permits.

HOW DO WE REACH IN NEPAL ?

Nepal can be reached by land and air. There is daily flight from differents countries. 

SOLO TREKKING IN NEPAL :

Kathmandu Guides Treks arranged Solo trekking except restricted areas which have been opened only for Group Trekking eg. Mustang , Manaslu, Narp hu,Kanchanjunga, Upper and lower Dolpo, Humla, and Darchula where minimum 2 peoples are required.

JOINING WITH A GROUP :

You can join with a group but we have to make sure that the group is ready to accept you. Otherwise, Kathmandu Guides Treks can announce your trip in our website to find other individuals to join trek with you  in the same region and same date.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TIME OF ACCIDENT ?

Kathmandu Guide Treks strongly recommend to all the trekkers to have their personal insurance covering expenses of the rescue and repatriation.

Kathmandu Guides Treks can take a satellite telephone for high altitude trekkings in isolated trekkings,expeditions to call for urgent assistance. Otherwise for Normal trekking  routes like Langtang trekking Round Annapurna trekking, Mustang trekking, Everest base camp trekking, Annapurna base camp, telephone services are available in almost every villages. That’s why In the case of accident, somebody of the team will make responsible to accompany the trekker up to the closest hospital / health center or upto the place from where helicopter repatriation and rescue can be done if required..

VACCINATIONS :

 The World Health Organization recommends these vaccinations for travelers to Nepal:

•    Typhoid

•    Hepatitis A and B

•    Malarie

•    Covid 19

LUGGAGE :

Kathmandu Guides Treks domestic airline companies will allow weight upto 15kg and the airline company invoices

MONEY :

Monetary unit of Nepal is Nepali rupee.
 So you provide with Euros, of traveler’s check and of cash. You can also withdraw cash with your credit card (ATM machines) in the majority of the cities Nepal ( Kathmandu ,Pokhara , Chitwan. For your payments, the credit cards are accepted in the large hotels and the majority of the shops.

WEATHER :

The main trekking season in Nepal is from October to mid-May.

Pre-monsoon: March to May

Post Monsoon autumn: Mid-September to November

FOODS :

If you have a gluten free diet, then we strongly recommend you bring some extra food and snacks with you.

DRINGKKING WATER :

We strongly encourage you not to buy bottled water during trek as this contributes to the growing problem of plastic pollution in Himalaya. The teahouses sell boiled water which should not require treating.
