Khumbu 3 high pass

Khumbu 3 passes is one of the most challenging trekking. This trekking will make you discover the entire Sherpa country, by traversing all of the Khumbu valleys. Everest High Pass trail which allows to approach the diversity of these very famous mountain regions. There are 3 major passes Kongma La Pass 5540m, Chola Pass 5335m, Newly explored Pass Renjo La Pass 5400m, That 3 passes are located southern west of Everest. Renjo Pass South of Gokyo and straight west-north of Namche/ Thame. Chola Pass situated west of Everest Base Camp, Kongma La straight above the Dingboche , Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lakes, and the Three Passes are two most sought after destinations in the Everest region.

ESSENTIAL INFO

Nepal

Most nationalities require a visa for Nepal, which can be obtained in advance or on entry. All Nepal tourist visas are multiple entry. We recommend that you apply in advance as queues on arrival. Please bring one passport-size photo for visa. Visa fees are US $ 25 for 15 days, US $ 40 for 30 days and US $ 100 for 100 days with multi-entry.

Money

Monetary unit of Nepal is Nepali rupee.  So you provide with €,$ of traveler’s check and of cash. You can also withdraw cash with your credit card (ATM machines) in the majority of the cities Nepal. For your payments, the credit cards are accepted in the large hotels and the majority of the shops.

Weather

The main trekking season in Nepal is from October to mid-May.

Foods

If you have a gluten free diet, then we strongly recommend you bring some extra food and snacks with you.

Drinking Water

We strongly encourage you not to buy bottled water during trek as this contributes to the growing problem of plastic pollution in Himalaya.

The teahouses sell boiled water which should not require treating.

Vaccinations

There are no mandatory vaccination requirements.

Recommended vaccinations are: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio.
